Motherhood, Mayhem and My Mini New Year
Ohhhh hey there, it’s me again! I know, I’ve been MIA for a hot minute, but guess what? I’m BACK, baby, and I’m hoping to stay dedicated to this blog like my heart has always wanted to be. Life has me in another transition, and let me tell you it’s been a SH*T SHOW! But here I am, learning to accept where I’m at while plotting my grand escape to where I want to be.
Oh, did I mention I have two kids now? Yep, SURPRISE, SURPRISE! And in the grand plot twist that is my life, I got fired, hired, dipped my toes back into hair school, became newly single, and started therapy. It's safe to say there's never a dull moment over here. I’m officially a girl mom, and my girls are my entire universe. Let’s just say, single mommy life wasn’t exactly what I pictured. I had that classic "married with the white picket fence, 2.5 kids, a dog, and a trio of indoor/outdoor cats" fantasy. But, HA! That dream got snatched when motherhood and postpartum came in like a WWE tag team and HONEY, it shook me every which way but loose!
BUT...I’m here, slowly bouncing back and figuring out who I am in this wild new chapter.
And guess what? It’s my BIRTHDAY MONTH! Yes, I share it with THE QUEEN BEY herself. 🎉 But also my mom, dad, little cousin, older cousin (same day, no biggie), uncle (RIP), one of my besties, grandma, aunt, and I’m pretty sure I’m missing a few. September is basically the ultimate party month!
As my birthday creeps up, I’m on the lookout for a vibe or mantra for the year. Something I can hold onto like my personal life hack when things get chaotic. I’m basically treating my birthday like a mini New Year—manifesting goals, self-reflection, and all that good energy.
Now that we’re all caught up on my soap opera of a life, I’m excited to get back to healing through these words, one blog post at a time. To everyone who’s been nudging me to start writing again, THANK YOU. I had no idea my random ramblings had the power to make you laugh, think, or feel empowered. My mission remains the same: to make you chuckle, to make you reflect, and to hold your hand while we all grow into the best versions of ourselves. Let’s do this! 💫
So y'all read it—laughed, cried, had an epiphany, or maybe felt a little triggered (oops, my bad!). But hey, it made you feel something, right? So why not keep the vibes going? Hit that like button, share it with your people, or drop a comment (if you're feeling fancy, do all three!). Let's keep the good vibes rolling, and I’ll catch you next time for more chaos and clarity! 😉
