Here, There, Everywhere

Another New Year Day has come and gone! Everyone seems to be able to set goals, look forward to the future and set their New Year Resolutions while I am stuck reminiscing on everything that went wrong in 2022. Darn it! I’ve just broken one of my resolutions “do NOT compare yourself to others”! I am usually a lot more hopefully, joyfully, and optimistic but 2022 has left me feeling like the streets of New York City after the ball drops; icy, sparkling, and a little dirty.

Last year was a beautiful disaster. Healing from my childhood, applying to hair school, building clientele, working a 9 – 5 and realizing that people aren’t perfect (gasp). God saw fit to make me, yes ME a mother. When I say God just be making ANYBODY parents these days, I mean ANYBODY! LOL

As I tried to find myself while transitioning into motherhood somehow, my internal battles for stability, understanding, and support caused an external war with a few of my loved ones. Discovering who you are, setting boundaries and healing is one hell of a list to tackle; to add pregnancy to that list is wild! But clearly God, thinks I am G.I. Jane and capable of fighting in the Army of the Lord.

Pregnancy hormones are real! Trying to properly convey your thoughts, feelings and emotions while creating a human is nearly impossible. If you haven’t caught on yet, this is the paragraph that will tie in my title and give you an overview of what I will be sharing. Basically this blog will be “a guide to relearning yourself in adulthood” as my Shabestie would put it. You, the reader, will read about my experiences pre motherhood, creating a business while working a 9-5, relationship advice that I give but don’t use, and much more!

I hope I did what I was supposed to do, share a little bit of information about myself, explain what I will discuss and make it “catchy”. If you found this interesting come back here every Sunday to see what’s new in my life!

Until Next Time,
